Free shipping applies to all residential and business addresses in the continental United States, including:
- All 50 states (excluding Alaska and Hawaii)
- Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands (calculated rates apply)
Please note: Free shipping does not apply to P.O. boxes, military addresses, or international locations at this time.
What Happens During Order Processing?
Once you place an order, here’s what to expect:
- Order Confirmation: Within 1 hour, you’ll receive an email confirming your purchase
- Processing: Your order is carefully packed within 1-2 business days
- Shipment: You’ll receive a shipping notification with tracking information
- Delivery: Your package is on its way!

Handling Perishable Goods During Shipping
Origins Family Foods specializes in perishable and temperature-sensitive African and Caribbean food products. We take special care to ensure products arrive fresh:
- Insulated Packaging: All orders are packed in insulated boxes
- Cool Packs: Cool packs are included seasonally to maintain temperature
- Expedited Handling: Perishable items are prioritized for fast processing
- Quality Assurance: All items are inspected before packing
Although we take precautions, some degree of product variation or minor changes may occur during transport. Upon delivery, inspect your order immediately and report any concerns within 48 hours.
What If Something Arrives Damaged?
Your satisfaction is our priority. If you receive damaged, spoiled, or incorrect items:
- Inspect your order immediately upon delivery
- Take clear photos of any damage or issues
- Contact customer service within 48 hours with:
- Your order number
- Photos of the damage
- Description of the problem
- We’ll process a replacement or refund immediately
- We’ll provide a prepaid return label for the damaged item
For perishable items that have spoiled, do not consume them. Dispose safely and provide photos as evidence.
