Shipping Policy

1. Processing Times
Orders are processed within 1-2 business days from the date of purchase. Processing time does not include weekends or holidays. You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information once your order has been dispatched.
2. Shipping Methods and Carriers
We ship via USPS, UPS, and FedEx. The carrier and method depend on your location and order contents. You will see available shipping options at checkout, and your choice will determine the delivery timeframe.
3. Shipping Rates and Free Shipping
Standard shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location and order weight. Origins Family Foods offers FREE SHIPPING on all orders over $75 to the continental United States.
4. Delivery Timeframes by Region
Continental United States:
- Standard Shipping: 5-7 business days
- Expedited Shipping: 2-3 business days
- Overnight Shipping: Next business day (availability varies)
Delivery timeframes are estimates and not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to carrier backlogs, weather, or other circumstances beyond our control.
5. Handling of Perishable Goods
Origins Family Foods specializes in African and Caribbean food products, including items that may be temperature-sensitive. We use insulated packaging and cool packs during warmer months to maintain product quality. However, perishable items are shipped at the customer’s risk. We recommend expedited shipping for perishable orders.
Customers are responsible for promptly inspecting perishable items upon delivery and reporting any spoilage or damage within 48 hours.
6. Order Tracking
Once your order ships, you will receive a tracking number via email. You can use this number to monitor your shipment in real-time through the carrier’s website. If your tracking information is not available within 24 hours of shipment, contact customer service.
7. Restrictions on Shipping Address
We currently ship only to residential and business addresses in the continental United States. We do not ship to:
- P.O. boxes
- Military addresses (APO, DPO, FPO)
- International locations
- Addresses outside the continental United States (Alaska, Hawaii, US territories)
If an order is accidentally placed to a restricted address, it will be cancelled and refunded.
8. International Shipping
At this time, Origins Family Foods ships to the continental United States only. We are exploring international shipping options and will update this policy as we expand. International customers are encouraged to contact customer service to discuss special arrangements.
9. Damaged or Lost Shipments
Inspect your order immediately upon delivery. If you notice damage, spoilage, or missing items:
- Report the issue within 48 hours of delivery
- Provide photos of damaged products and packaging
- Contact customer service at support@originsfamilyfoods.com
We will work with the carrier to file a claim and will issue a replacement or refund as appropriate. Do not refuse delivery if you suspect damage—instead, accept the package, document the damage, and contact us immediately.
10. Change of Delivery Address
Once an order is processed and shipped, it cannot be redirected. However, if you notify us before shipping (within your processing window), we may be able to update the delivery address at no additional cost.
