Rinse rice 2-3 times until water runs clear. For steamed rice: Cook in a 1:1.25 ratio of rice to water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to lowest setting, cover tightly and cook for 15 minutes. Let rest 5 minutes before fluffing. For jollof: Use slightly less water than with parboiled rice. Also excellent for coconut rice and fried rice.
