Bobolo (also called bâton de manioc) is a traditional Cameroonian staple made from fermented cassava, wrapped in banana leaves and steamed into firm, elongated sticks. This versatile accompaniment is the perfect partner for Ndole, grilled fish, and vegetable sauces. Across Cameroon and Central Africa, bobolo is everyday sustenance and street food favourite.

Steam or boil for 10-15 minutes to warm through (already cooked). Unwrap banana leaves before eating. Serve alongside Ndole, grilled fish, pepper sauce, or any saucy stew. Can be sliced and pan-fried for a crispy exterior. Traditionally eaten by pulling off pieces and dipping into sauce.
