Traditionally, peeling beans by hand is a laborious process: soaking, rubbing to loosen the skins, and repeatedly washing to remove them. Pre-peeled beans eliminate hours of preparation work while ensuring the smooth, skin-free texture that's essential for light, fluffy akara and silky moin moin.

No need to peel — ready to use! For akara: Soak for 2 hours, blend with onions and scotch bonnet pepper until fluffy. Deep fry spoonfuls in hot oil. For moin moin: Blend soaked beans until very smooth. Add palm oil, ground crayfish, onions, pepper, eggs, and corned beef. Pour into molds and steam for 45 minutes.
